About Coral Grand Divers - Dive Center in Koh Tao

Coral Grand Divers is one of Koh Tao’s longest-standing dive shops, operating diving trips since the early 2000s with over 50.000 diving certifications completed. As a PADI 5-star Dive Center, we operate the highest standard of diver safety and training and maintain a full-time course director to ensure excellence in our IDC program and all our diving trips and courses.

A unique diving location for a fantastic diving experience

• Our dive shop is straight on Sairee Beach, and we have direct access to the diving boats, so we can leave directly from the beach. Our theory sessions and pre and post-dive briefings are held right next to the beach - after each dive, you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful sunsets on Koh Tao. Discount accommodations are also available with dive courses.
• We use all modern Aqualung and Scubapro dive gears and ensure our diving equipment is serviced regularly.
• We have a dedicated scuba training pool at the diving school, built specifically for confined water skills development.
• We have a fleet of two dive boats, all up to date with safety standards and the comfort you can expect from a first-rate dive shop.

 

PADI Course Director of Coral Grand Divers

Jean-Michel Pelissier (or Jimmy) is our Course Director. He started diving in France with the FFESSM and CMAS, joined the PADI family as an instructor in 1993, and attained the highest teaching rank of PADI Course Director in 2004. Jimmy has worked around the globe as a diving teacher. He has worked in France, Egypt, Jordan, Mexico, and Saint-Martin, where he owned and managed two dive schools for 20 years.

Finally (it took a hurricane), Jean-Michel came to Thailand. With more than 34 years of dedicated diving experience available for you to share. These years have given him a wealth of diving knowledge, meaning that any prospective dive pro (dive master, dive instructor, and above) or Tec diver will find in him a genuinely masterful mentor.

With more than 16.000 dives, 3000+ PADI certifications, and more than 800 professional certifications, he is undoubtedly among the most experienced Course directors in Koh Tao. Jean-Michel is happy to talk to you in person if you are visiting the center, or you can email him any specific questions.

Jean-Michel is a full Cave Diver and Tec Trainer. As such, he can provide the desired width and depth to your diving career.
